owners on a per assessment unit basis. It is determined that such assessees shall include the <br /> owners of 81 lots within the Kona Ocean View Properties subdivision. <br /> For reference, Exhibit F, Proposed Assessment Roll, Kona Ocean View Properties Water <br /> Improvement District, based upon information provided by the County's Real Property Tax <br /> Division, identifies the owners of the properties and related TMK "assessment units" subject to <br /> assessment in the proposed improvement district. <br /> The cost of any applicable facilities connection charge, which is subject to change, is not <br /> included in the cost estimate of the proposed water system improvements. Such charges shall be <br /> due separately to the Department of Water Supply upon hook -up to the completed water system <br /> installation. Credit shall be given to owners of parcels that already have service with DWS or <br /> have paid their facilities charge to the Department. <br /> 4. Land and Right -of -Way to be Acquired <br /> No land acquisition is required for the installation of the proposed water system. An easement <br /> will be required over the privately owned subdivision roads for maintenance and operation of the <br /> water system improvements. An easement within the Mamalahoa Highway right -of -way will <br /> also be needed for a portion of the water system. <br /> 5. Recommended Materials <br /> The materials recommended to meet the conditions of the water system improvements required <br /> for the KOVP improvement district, to be built in conformance with the Department of Water <br /> Supply Standards, shall include but not be limited to the following: <br /> • 1,022 linear feet of 8 -inch diameter ductile iron pipe <br /> • 3,620 linear feet of 6 -inch diameter ductile iron pipe <br /> • 1 pressure reducing valve (PRV) and box <br /> • 7 fire hydrants <br /> • 11 1 -inch Type "A" water laterals <br /> • 35 1' /2 -inch Type "C" water laterals <br /> As part of the improvement, all existing meters and laterals will be relocated to front each parcel. <br /> The roadway will be trenched to install the water system improvements and pavement repair <br /> consisting of asphalt patch over the trenched areas is included in the work. <br /> 6. Improvement District Boundaries <br /> The boundary of the proposed improvement district includes all of the existing lots within the <br /> Kona Ocean View Properties subdivision located in North Kona and shown on Tax Map Key <br /> Nos. 7 -2- 008:1 -41 excluding 39 which is not a part of the subdivision and 7 -2 -009: 1 -42 ( lot 41 <br /> is the road lot). <br /> For reference a map titled "Proposed Kona Ocean View Properties Subdivision Water System <br /> Improvement District" (Exhibit A) is appended to this report and outlines the general character <br /> and extent of the proposed ID boundaries, and shows the approximate location of the water <br /> system improvements. <br /> 4 <br />
