DEL 1 0 2o19 <br /> The Honorable J Yoshimoto, Chairman .\ <br /> and Members of the County Council .. <br /> County of Hawai`i - <br /> 25 Aupuni Street <br /> Hilo, HI 96720 <br /> Dear Chairman Yoshimoto and Council Members: <br /> Change of Zone Application (REZ 10- 000131) <br /> Applicant: Concept Construction, Inc. <br /> Request: RS -10 to CN -20 <br /> Tax Map Key: 2 -2 -25:22 <br /> The Windward Planning Commission, after a duly held public hearing on November 10, 2010, <br /> voted to recommend for your approval the proposed legislative bill for a Change of Zone from <br /> Single - Family Residential 10,000 square feet (RS -10) to Neighborhood Commercial 20,000 <br /> square feet (CN -20) for approximately 5,160 square feet of land. The property is located on <br /> Kino`ole Street, approximately 174 feet southwest of the intersection of Kino`ole Street and <br /> Lanikaula Street, Waiakea, South Hilo, Hawai`i. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the request: <br /> The applicant is requesting a Change of Zone from RS -10 to CN -20 for an <br /> approximately 5,160 square -foot remnant that was recently acquired by the applicant <br /> from the State of Hawai`i and consolidated into TMK: 2 -2- 025:022. This will allow the <br /> area to be used for additional parking and landscaping in support of the dialysis center <br /> that is being established on the consolidated property. The applicant recently received <br /> approval of a Change of Zone request for TMK: 2 -2- 025:022 from RS -10 to CN -20 to <br /> accommodate the relocation of the Liberty Dialysis Center from its present location on <br /> Rainbow Drive (Change of Zone Ordinance 10 -27).
