COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 20 11 (DRAFT 2 ) RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI -YEAR LEASE FOR THREE (3) COPIERS FOR THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, Section 10 -11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, the County of Hawai'i wishes to enter into a multi -year lease agreement for five (5) years, for two (2) multifunctional copiers for the Planning Department's Hilo office and one (1) multifunctional copier for their Kona Office, as their current copier leases have expired; and WHEREAS, the copiers are needed to print departmental documents, necessary plans, and presentations for the County Community Development Programs around Hawaii Island; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement for three (3) copiers for the Planning Department. 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that three (3) copiers comparable to the existing copiers in the Planning Department shall be leased for a period of five (5) years at a cost not to exceed $500 per copier per month, and in addition to the monthly lease, the cost per page of black and white copy shall not exceed three (3) cents, and the cost per page of color copy shall not exceed eight (8) cents.
