No. 18 -11 <br />PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa <br />78 -128 `Ehukai Street <br />Kailua -Kona, Hawaii <br />TIME: 11:26 a.m. <br />Council Chair and Members <br />Hawaii County Council <br />Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 18 -11, Communication No. 33, <br />reports as follows: <br />Resolution No. 18 -11, transmitted by Director of Finance Nancy Crawford via Communication <br />No. 33, dated November 9, 2010, authorizes the acceptance of donation from Hilo Wal -Mart <br />monetary donation totaling $1,000 to the Hawaii County Fire Department's Fire Prevention <br />Division toward the purchase of materials and supplies for Fire Prevention Week. <br />Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13 -12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the <br />County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property. Also, pursuant to Chapter 2, Article <br />30, Section 2- 162(c), Hawaii County Code, any donation or gift which does not fall within the <br />capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance shall be submitted to the Council by <br />letter for its approval. <br />There was not discussion this measure. <br />Letters of appreciation will be sent to donor Ms. Jessica Borges and Mr. Torrance Crowley, Hilo <br />Wal -Mart Store #2473, 325 E.
