DRAFT PROPOSAL <br /> HAWAII STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES <br /> ASSOCIATES MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM <br /> "Separate member ciaegorlesfor organizations or individuals may be established by the IHSACI <br /> executive committee, but no such member shall be provided voting rights." <br /> HSACBylaws <br /> Amended May 14, 2004 <br /> The Associates membership program of the Hawaii State Association of Counties (HSAC) Is a <br /> commitment by HSAC to engage private sector organizations and Individuals in the goals and <br /> initiatives of HSAC and to create opportunities for Associates to connect with the 40 elected <br /> county decision makers across the state. <br /> Who Can Be An Associates Member? <br /> Any entity, company, or organization that is not a governmental or quasl- govemmental entity or <br /> any individual who Is not a full -time employee of a governmental or quasi- govemmentai agency <br /> is eligible for Associates member status. <br /> Companies and Individuals under contract to the counties are eligible for Associates <br /> membership. <br /> If you or your organization deals regularly with Hawaii's county governments, you should <br /> consider an Associates membership. Check over the benefits listed below, then fill out the <br /> application form. We look forward to working with you and helping you work with <br /> municipalities. <br /> Benefits of Associate Membership: <br /> • Associates Members have non - voting status on the HSAC Executive Committee and will <br /> receive notices of all Executive Committee and General Membership meetings. <br /> • Discounts for the HSAC Annual Conference registration fee, exhibit space, and <br /> advertising rates in the conference souvenir program, <br /> • Your organization's name will also be listed in the HSAC Annual Conference souvenir <br /> program and you will be given priority opportunities to sponsor conference events at a <br /> discounted rate. <br /> • As an Associates member, you will be recognized as supporting HSAC's efforts to <br /> enhance and improve county government —the government closest to the people. <br /> • A formal certificate stating you are an Associates member of HSAC to display In your <br /> place of business (non - existent). <br /> • A subscription to the HSAC newsletter (non - existent). <br /> • Receive all news releases and bulletins issued by HSAC (non - existent). <br /> • An annual copy of the Hawaii County Officials Directory (non - existent). <br /> • Usting as an Associates member on the HSAC webslte (non - existent). <br /> • Reduced rates on all other HSAC publications and activities (non - existent). <br />
