C • Kailua -Kona, Hawaii 96740 <br />(808) 323 -4444 • Fax (808) 323 -4440 <br />February 14, 2011 <br />Summary of Tasks and Timeline, Ka`u/ Pahala Gym and Disaster Shelter <br />Tasks: Pre - Allotment Authorization by Governor <br />• Execute a Right of Entry for the area of the school site that the gym and parking <br />lot will be placed (Makes County of Hawaii the Accepting Authority for the <br />Environmental Assessment). <br />• Execute an Executive Order for the same area to ensure continued management <br />of the gym stays with the County after project completion. <br />• Establish a Right of Entry for the ball fields and parking lot that the County <br />already maintains. <br />• Research existing gym plans and site conditions, including zoning, permitting, <br />utilities, etc. <br />• Work with Ka`u High /Pahala Elementary principal to program facility to <br />accommodate school's needs. <br />• Prepare consultant selection forms and criteria; select consultant. <br />• Draft consultant contract <br />Tasks: Post - Allotment Authorization by Governor <br />• Reallocate State CIP to usable amounts (change $50k planning /design + $50k <br />equipment + $18M construction allocations to $1 M planning /design + $16M <br />Construction + $1.1 M equipment) <br />• Negotiate and execute consultant contract <br />County of Hawaii is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. <br />Exhibit "A" <br />
