Sako <br />Deputy Director <br />In accordance with (1) Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawai'i County Charter, which <br />provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br />securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and with <br />(2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2 -162 (b), of the Hawai'i County Code, which states that a <br />gift or donation of money, securities, or personal property not covered by the capitalization <br />procedures (of the Department of Finance) shall be submitted to the Council by letter for its <br />approval, we request the Council's approval of the following donation: <br />One (1) Double Yellow Headed Amazon Parrot; (total estimated value of $1,000) for the <br />County of Hawaii Department of Parks & Recreation's Pana`ewa Rainforest Zoo and <br />Gardens. <br />We ask that a letter of appreciation be sent to the donor, Mr. Eric Johnson, 46 -4061 Old <br />Mamalahoa Highway, Honoka'a, HI 96727. <br />If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call Pam Mizuno of the Department of <br />Parks and Recreation at 959 -7224. <br />Nancy Crawford <br />Director of Finance <br />cc: Parks and Recreation <br />Comm.
