REQUEST: <br /> The Department of Liquor Control would like to transfer $18,000 from our Liquor Control Fund Balance <br /> Reserve Account to the account listed below: <br /> 010.251.5251.39 -115 - Public Programs $18,000.00 <br /> We request a waiver from the Finance committee meeting so that this may be heard at the April 6, 2011 <br /> Council meeting. Approval for funds is needed so that we may notify the schools for their graduation <br /> planning purposes. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Department of Liquor Control supports activities and education to help prevent underage drinking. <br /> Project Grad is an event sponsored by almost all high schools for their graduating seniors. It provides an <br /> evening of alcohol /drug free activities for graduating seniors on one of the most vulnerable nights for <br /> underage drinking.
