No. 151 /Res. 56 -11 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 3:30 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 56 -11, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 56 -11, transmitted by Director of Finance Nancy Crawford, dated March 22, <br /> 2011, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one fiscal year for a <br /> multi -year lease for one (1) copier for the Department of Human Services. <br /> The new copier will improve the efficiency of the Human Resources staff by providing improved <br /> performance at a decreased cost. Their current copy machine is nearly eight years old, and in <br /> need of replacement. <br /> Some members of Your Committee suggested that instead of entering into leases for copy <br /> machines, the reprographics division be utilized more readily. Finance Director Nancy Crawford <br /> came forward and expressed that since the agencies are located around the island, it is more <br /> efficient for small jobs to be copied on -site.
