COUNTY OF HAWAII ORDINANCE NO. STATE OF HAWAII BILL NO. 51 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18, ARTICLE 4, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO PUBLIC TRANSIT SYSTEM, ISLAND -WIDE FARE STRUCTURE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Purpose. To amend Article 4, Public Transit System, Island -Wide Fare Structure, of the Hawaii County Code. The amendment of this article will establish a $1.00 cash fare for riders of the Hele-On bus system. Children under the age of five, senior citizens, individuals with disabilities and students will be able to ride free of charge; and for all other riders, a discount of twenty-five percent will be provided on a fare pre -payment program utilizing bus passes or bus tickets. SECTION 2. Chapter 18, article 4, Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), is amended to read as follows: "Article 4. Public Transit System. Division 1. Island -Wide Fare Structure.
