He is Executive Vice - President of <br /> Member Services for Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union (HCFCU). Mr. Watanabe currently serves on <br /> the Board of Appeals. He states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve a <br /> term to expire on December 31, 2015, replacing Claude Onizuka whose term expired on <br /> December 31, 2010. <br /> Council District 9 — Riley Smith is a 57 -year resident of Hawai'i. From July 2009, he has been employed as <br /> vice - president with Lanihau Properties. Mr. Smith states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If <br /> confirmed, he will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2015, replacing Lester Kimura whose term <br /> expired on December 31, 2010. <br /> I would appreciate your attention on this matter and request that this item be waived from committee and <br /> placed on the Council agenda for discussion and confirmation of these individuals. <br /> Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
