Honorable Members of the Hawaii County Council <br /> May 5, 2011 <br /> Page 4 <br /> Fair Share Contributions <br /> A Fair Share Annual Report as of June 30, 2010 was submitted to the County Council <br /> on October 29, 2010. This document provides information on the total fair share <br /> contributions assessed, collected and expended to date as well as a summary of funds <br /> available for capital improvements. At this time, there are eight requests to fund <br /> portions of a project's cost using fair share contributions. However, separate <br /> appropriation requests may be approved by ordinance during the year. We have and <br /> will continue to strongly urge the use of fair share contributions to fund CIP projects <br /> when possible. <br /> We ask for your favorable consideration of this Capital Budget and Program. <br /> Aloha, <br /> William P.
