WHEREAS, this resolution will be augmented with written covenants between the <br /> mayors of both the County of Hawai`i and Ormoc City and additionaly supported with a signed <br /> service agreement citing agreed responsibilities for the County of Hawai`i , and the sister -city <br /> sponsors, Congress of Visayan Organzations (COVO), Kona Visayan Club and HiloVisayan <br /> Club; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> pursuant to Chapter 2, Article 31, Section 2 -165 of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 <br /> Edition, as amended), a Sister -City program be established between the County of Hawai`i and <br /> the good people of Ormoc City, Philippines; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the aforementioned agreements will be duly <br /> signed by the appropriate officials of Ormoc City and the County of Hawai`i within six (6) <br /> months of the approval of this resolution. <br /> BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk transmit copies of this <br /> resolution to the Honorable Mayor William P. Kenoi; to the Honorable Mayor Eric Codilla <br /> of Ormoc City, Philippines; Jane Clement, President of COVO; the Kona Visayan Club, Hilo <br /> Visayan Club and Charmaine Shigemura, County of Hawai`i Sister City Protocol Officer. <br /> BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this resolution to <br /> the Honorable Mayor William P.
