„..-.?;L:„-. ciZ,.'., <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII : • 6 ” ; A':• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ' OF M''� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 84 11 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF TWO (2) WORKS <br /> OF ART FROM BLAISE DOMINO, ARTIST, FOR DISPLAY IN HILO AND KONA <br /> WHEREAS Blaise Domino, Historic Cartographic Artist, is donating two (2) giclees measuring <br /> 36" x 54 ", exclusive of framing, of his historical map "Island of Hawaii "; and <br /> WHEREAS, these works of art, valued at $3,000 each shall be utilized for display in the Mayor's office <br /> reception areas in Hilo and in Kona; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on <br /> behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal property or of real <br /> estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2 -162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code <br /> states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization <br /> procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of Management recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article <br /> XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2- 162(a) of the Hawaii <br /> County Code, the Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br /> BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this resolution be sent to Mr. <br /> Blaise Domino, Picture Map Company, P.O.
