If your <br /> office relocates, we are requesting the use of the existing area for the purpose of <br /> Katvananakoa Gtrnt. l~'e are asking that you think in terms of 3-5 years and the additional <br /> space that Kawananakoa Gvm will be needing either for parking or wmnasium related <br /> actit7ties. <br /> We are aware that a portion of the unpaved area near Keaukaha Elementan~ School <br /> on Baker Avenue is not a part of Kacvananakoa Hall. ~~'e understand that KES will be <br /> expanding some time in the future and it is our hope to work tyith KES (State) to <br /> encourage dual usage of facilities such as parking, etc. <br /> Kawananakoa Hall was built as a place where the Hawaiian Home Lands <br /> beneficiaries could eome together to meet, to socialize, to benefit Yiom one another. Today, <br /> [he immediate community' that Kawananakoa services have increased a thoasand times. <br /> although the facilii)~ has not. <br /> V4~e are deeph• rooted in the fact that we need to create a facility that is safe, <br /> practical healthy and usable, to provide the educational and athletic actitities that we know <br /> can ortiv better our children. <br /> This Department's participation in the realization of this dream, can only serve to <br /> fulfill one of its Trust objectives. that is the rehabilitation of beneficiaries. For every child <br /> that we provide space for, for evert parent that comes to see thew child participate in an <br /> <br />
