COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 105 11 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE MONETARY CONTRIBUTION FROM NA LEO `O HAWAII, INC. FOR PRODUCTION COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIDEOTAPING OF COUNCIL MEETINGS WHEREAS, Na Leo `O Hawaii is contributing $75,000 for production costs associated with the videotaping of Council meetings for the period of July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012; and WHEREAS, their contribution will ensure continued broadcasts of County Council meetings on Na Leo, which is very important for an informed citizenry; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and WHEREAS, the Office of the County Clerk recommends the acceptance of this contribution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this contribution. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this resolution be sent to Baron Sekiya, President of the Board of Director's of Na Leo `O Hawaii, Inc., and Mr. Juergen Denecke, General Manager; Na Leo `O Hawaii, Inc., 91 Mohouli Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720, acknowledging their contribution.
