Section 5 -12. Compliance with this code and other laws. <br /> Any approval or permit issued pursuant to the provisions of this code shall comply with all <br /> applicable requirements of this code. The granting of a permit or variance under this code does not <br /> dispense with the necessity to comply with any law, ordinance, regulation or any other provision of the <br /> Hawai`i County Code to which a permittee may also be subject. <br /> (1) "Wherever in this code reference is made to the ICC Electrical Code, means the Hawai`i <br /> County Code, Chapter 9, Electrical." <br /> (2) "Wherever in this Code reference is made to the International Fuel Gas Code, the provisions in <br /> the International Fuel Gas Code shall be deemed only guidelines and not mandatory." <br /> (3) "Wherever in this Code reference is made to the International Mechanical Code, the provisions <br /> in the International Mechanical Code shall be deemed only guidelines and not mandatory." <br /> (4) "Wherever in this code reference is made to the International Plumbing Code, means the <br /> Hawai`i County Code, Chapter 17, Plumbing." <br /> (5) "Wherever in this Code reference is made to the International Property Maintenance Code, the <br /> provisions in the International Property Maintenance Code shall be deemed only guidelines <br /> and not mandatory." <br /> (6) "Wherever in this code reference is made to the International Fire Code, means the Hawai`i <br /> County Code, Chapter 26, Fire Code." <br /> (7) "Wherever in this code reference is made to the International Energy Conservation Code, as <br /> adopted by the County of Hawai`i." <br /> (8) Other Laws. Any provisions of this code to the contrary notwithstanding, the following shall <br /> be at all times in full force and effect, and in situations of conflicting requirements, the <br /> stricter shall be complied with: <br /> (A) Hawai`i Revised Statutes; <br /> (B) Rules and regulations of the State Department of Land Utilization; <br /> (C) Ordinance of the County of Hawai`i; <br /> (D) Rules and regulations of the Planning Department; <br /> (E) Subdivision rules and regulations adopted pursuant to the subdivision chapter of the <br /> County Code; <br /> (F) Rules and regulations of the County Department of Water Supply; <br /> (G) Public health regulations, State Department of Health; <br /> (H) Rules and regulations of the State Department of Labor and Industrial Relations; <br /> (1) Fire Chapter of the County Code; <br /> 4 <br />
