-_ �''',- STATE OF HAWAII <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII '�� =-��-��• <br /> J . <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 110 11 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION <br /> OF $1,200 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION FOR <br /> IMPROVEMENTS AT RICHARDSON OCEAN PARK <br /> WHEREAS, Frank and Michal Zimring are donating $1,200 to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used to install a 6 foot bench and other <br /> improvements at Richardson Ocean Park; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter provides that <br /> the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or <br /> other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article <br /> 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawai'i County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, <br /> securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the <br /> Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that cash <br /> donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal Resolution process; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of <br /> this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, <br /> Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawai'i <br /> accepts this donation. <br />
