The legacy continues to add to the historical <br /> importance of HSAC. The county of Maui is proud to bring the annual <br /> conference June 22-23 at the Grand Wailaia. Maui has been working <br /> diligently to provide a conference you can be proud of. Chair Mateo apprised <br /> the EC of many of the speakers, programs and activities. He is asking all the <br /> EC to go back to their respective counties to get 100% attendance from all <br /> HSAC county councils. Chair Mateo provided handout package with includes <br /> a request for sponsorhips to help pay for needed items of the conference. <br /> Presently have verbal commitments of nearly $30K so far but nothing actually <br /> received. <br /> Kauai has committed 100% attendance. Communication received and <br /> accepted with voice vote. <br /> Nothing further to discuss. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> A. Scheduled next meeting is the annual HSAC Meeting of June 22-23. <br /> B. Other Announcements <br /> Secretary Pilago reiterated from the last meeting that Hawaii County is <br /> bringing forth 2 sister city relationships for APCES, Kumejima Japan and <br /> Ormoc City Phillipines. Should we be able to have only 1 signing at APCES <br /> we reserve the right to pick which it will be. The council and administration is <br /> working much closer to make these sister city arrangements and thanks the <br /> efforts of HSAC to help bridge the gaps we experienced. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Meeting adjourned. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> LK, <br /> K.
