The amendment is as follows: <br /> Account No.: Source: <br /> 3308.76 Federal Grants -US DOT Extrication Training Grants General $24,000 <br /> Account No.: Source: <br /> 010.221.5288.18 US DOT Extrication Training Grants General $24,000 <br /> The State of Hawai`i Department of Transportation has authorized a $ 24,000 Fire Extrication <br /> Training to the County of Hawaii. These funds will be used to allow the Hawai`i Fire <br /> Department to utilize nationally recognized trainers to instruct Fire Department personnel in the <br /> most up to date techniques of vehicle extrication, and also enable the departments to implement a <br /> "train the trainer" program. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, County Departments must obtain the consent <br /> of the Council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action to <br /> be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend and receive any funds <br /> or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those <br /> powers. <br /> FC Report No. 81 <br />
