No. 263/Bill No. 68 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:35 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 68, reports as follows: <br /> Bill 68, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via Communication No. 263, dated July <br /> 6, 2011, amends Ordinance No. 11-59, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2012. <br /> The amendment is as follows: <br /> Account No.: Source: <br /> 3305.67 State Grant—Domestic Violence Strategic Plan Grant General $10,000 <br /> Account No.: Source: <br /> 010.271.5271.82 Domestic Violence Strategic Plan General $10,000 <br /> The County of Hawaii has been awarded a $50,000 state grant through the Hawaii State Coalition <br /> against Domestic Violence. <br /> These funds are for the purpose of the coordination of the Oversight Body and Task Forces, as well <br /> as the implementation, management and monitoring for compliance with the Strategic Plan. <br /> A Domestic Violence Strategic Plan account was appropriated for $40,000 in anticipation of grant <br /> funding for FY2011-12. Amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the additional funds into <br /> this account brings the total grant appropriation to $50,000. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, County Departments must obtain the consent of <br /> the Council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action to be <br /> taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend and receive any funds or <br /> other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers. <br /> FC Report No. 82 <br />
