No. 266/Bill No. 71 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:35 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 71, reports as follows: <br /> Bill 71, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via Communication No. 265, dated July <br /> 6, 2011, amends Ordinance No. 11-59, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2012. <br /> The amendment is as follows: <br /> Account No.: Source: <br /> 3308.77 Federal Grants -County of Hawai`i ITS Architecture General $150,000 <br /> Account No.: Source: <br /> 020.281.5281.10 County of Hawaii ITS Architecture General $150,000 <br /> The Department of Public Works indicates that the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation <br /> has authorized a $150,000 grant for the Traffic Division's County of Hawaii Intelligent <br /> Transportation System (ITS) architecture project, titled Federal-Aid Project No. SPR-0010 (33). <br /> These federally derived funds will be used to meet federal requirements for ITS architecture and to <br /> support coordination and cooperation among participating agencies for planned ITS deployment. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, County Departments must obtain the consent of <br /> the Council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action to be <br /> taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend and receive any funds or <br /> other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers. <br /> FC Report No. 87 <br />
