Amends Section 24-280, <br />Schedule 28 (No parking at anytime), subsection (c) (South Hilo), by changing paragraph 8 <br />to read: “(9) Aupuni Street, southwest side, from a point two hundred forty feet southeast <br />of Pauahi Street and extending sixty-six two hundred thirty-five feet in the southeasterly <br />direction. Also adds the following paragraphs to be appropriately numbered: “( ) Aupuni <br />Street, southwest side, from a point three hundred one feet southeast of Pauahi Street and <br />extending two hundred eighty-two feet in the southeasterly direction;” “( ) Aupuni Street, <br />southwest side, from a point seven hundred seven feet southeast of Pauahi Street and <br />extending four hundred thirty-five feet in the southeasterly direction; and “( ) Aupuni <br />Street, northwest side, from a point one thousand one hundred seventy-eight feet southeast <br />of Pauahi Street to Kilauea Avenue.” These amendments are necessary to update the <br />County Code to match existing conditions. <br /> <br /> <br />Comm. 278: RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE GRANT OF EASEMENT FROM CONTINENTAL <br />(Res. 109-11) PACIFIC, LLC FOR PUBLIC ACCESS PURPOSES <br />From Mayor William P. Kenoi, dated July 1, 2011. The resolution accepts easements over <br />several lots for pedestrian public access to the shoreline and sea cliffs in the Pepe‘ekeo <br />Point area. <br /> <br />Comm. 279: LIMITED SCOPE PERFORMANCE AUDIT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br />RECREATION’S FACILITIES ASSET MANAGEMENT <br />From Legislative Auditor Colleen Schrandt, dated July 21, 2011. This limited scope <br />performance audit examines the Department of Parks and Recreation’s asset management <br />of recreational facilities, fiscal responsibility, and safety set forth in its 2004-2009 <br />Strategic Plan. <br /> <br />Comm. 281: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 2 OF THE <br />(Bill 75) HAWAI‘I COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO <br />MOVING VEHICLES <br />From Public Works Director Warren Lee, dated July 15, 2011. Amends Section 24-265, <br />Schedule 13, (yield locations), paragraph (a), Hamakua, by adding Kalopa Road, <br />eastbound approach to bridge adjacent to parcels 4-4-2:5, 4-4-2:6, 4-4-9:3, and 4-4-9:8; <br />and eastbound approach to bridge adjacent to parcels 4-4-3:42, 4-4-4:6, 4-4-6:1, and <br />4-4-8:48. The reasons for this amendment include establishing a right-of-way at the first <br />of the two listed one-lane bridges and to updated the Hawai‘i County Code to match <br />existing conditions on the second bridge. <br /> <br />Comm. 282: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 6 OF THE <br />(Bill 76) HAWAI‘I COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION), RELATING TO LOADING ZONES <br />From Public Works Director Warren Lee, dated July 15, 2011. Amends Section 24-288, <br />Schedule 36 (freight loading zones), paragraph (c), South Hilo, by adding “Kīlauea <br />Avenue, southwest side, beginning from a point sixty-four feet northwest of Ponahawai <br />Street and extending forty feet in the northwesterly direction.” This amendment is <br />necessary to address a request for a freight loading zone along Kīlauea Avenue to service <br />the area businesses. <br /> <br /> <br />
