REQUEST: <br />1) Requesting a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the U.S. Department of <br />Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to support and participate in the Hawaii Airport Task Force <br />effort. <br />2) Requesting a bill for an ordinance to appropriate $17,300 for the Hawaii Airport Task Force. <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />The DEA Hawaii Airport Task Force (HATF) seeks to disrupt narcotics and dangerous drug trafficking in <br />Hawaii. The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports this effort and seeks approval to designate an <br />investigator to the project.
