No. 417/Bill No. 124 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 124, reports as follows: <br />Bill 124, transmitted jointly with Resolution 179 -11, by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via <br />Communication No. 417, dated October 5, 2011, amends Ordinance No. 11 -59, as amended, the <br />Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2012. The amendment is as follows: <br />From: <br />010.3308.80 Federal Grants — Community Based Child Abuse <br />Prevention General $ 4,995 <br />To: <br />010.111.5111.69 Community Based Child Abuse Prevention General $4,995 <br />The bill amends the Operating Budget by appropriating this $ 4,995 Community Based Child <br />Abuse Prevention Grant. The State of Hawaii Department of Health, Maternal & child Health <br />Branch is providing federally derived funds of $4,995 for the purpose of supporting the Office of <br />the Mayor /Immigration Information Office's Community Based Child Abuse Prevention <br />program. <br />Pursuant to Section 46 -7, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, County Departments must obtain the consent <br />of the Council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action to <br />be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend and receive any funds <br />or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those <br />powers. <br />FC Report No. 147 <br />
