No. 447/Bill No.135 <br />Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 135, <br />reports as follows: <br />Bill No. 135, from Public Works Director Warren W. H. Lee, transmitted via Communication <br />No. 447, dated October 28, 2011, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5 (Parking), <br />Section 24 -280, Schedule 28 (No parking at anytime), subsection (c) (South Hilo), <br />paragraph 86, to read as follows: <br />(86) Kinoole Street, EAST (makai) side, from a point four hundred thirty one NINETY - <br />FIVE feet southeast NORTH (HAMAKUA) of Haili MAMO Street and extending <br />one-hundred-feet to Mamo Street <br />This amendment was generated as a part of an effort to increase parking in the <br />Downtown Hilo area. <br />Councilmember Ikeda asked Ron Thiel Traffic Division Chief of the Department of Public <br />Works to check on the wording of the amendment because it didn't appear to make sense. <br />Councilmember Yagong commented that when read in its entirety, the language does make <br />sense.
