Sako <br />Deputy Director <br />• <br />The State Department of the Attorney General Crime Prevention and Justice Assistance <br />Division is providing federally derived funds of $33,002 for the purpose of supporting the <br />Hawaii County Police Department's Pu Malu program. These funds will be used to <br />provide training, purchase supplies, room rental for community awareness sessions, and <br />to purchase equipment to improve safety by enhancing the quality of the department's <br />investigation of crimes involving firearms and reducing firearms in the community. <br />Enclosed is a resolution to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State <br />Department of the Attorney General Crime Prevention and Justice Assistance Division for <br />this grant.
