COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 205 12 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A CYCLONE KB4 <br />DEBRIS BLOWER VALUED AT $8,775 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />PARKS AND RECREATION FOR USE AT THE PANA`EWA ZOO AND <br />EQUESTRIAN CENTER <br />WHEREAS, the B. Hayman Co. is donating a Cyclone KB4 Debris Blower, <br />valued at $8,775 to the Department of Parks and Recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, this equipment will be used at the Pana`ewa Zoo and Equestrian <br />Center; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br />that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br />securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and <br />Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2 -162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gift s <br />or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br />capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution <br />approved by the Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the <br />acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter <br />2, Article 30, Section 2- 162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of <br />Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
