The <br />request originally included an amendment to the zoning designation from an Agricultural (A -1a) <br />to a Family Agricultural (FA-1a) district but this request was withdrawn by the applicant. The <br />property is located adjacent to and south of the former Puna Sugar Company manager's <br />residence, west of the Kea`au -Pahoa Highway, approximately one mile south of Kea`au Village, <br />Kea'au, Puna, Hawai`i. <br />The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br />favorable consideration of the request: <br />The applicant requests amendments to Conditions B and I of Ordinance No. 95 <br />98, which reclassified approximately 44.341 acres from the Agricultural (A -20a) district <br />to the Agricultural (A -la) district to allow the development of a 35 -lot one -acre <br />subdivision. <br />Hawai `i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer <br />
