No. 510 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:00 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred <br /> Communication No. 510, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 510, transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi, dated December 12, 2011, <br /> requests the favorable nomination of Delbert Nishimoto to the Hawai`i County Veterans <br /> Advisory Committee. Mr. Nishimoto is a lifelong resident of Hawai`i. He is presently the East <br /> Hawai`i field representative for U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye. Mr. Nishimoto states that he is a <br /> Democrat. <br /> Mr. Nishimoto is presently serving in this position which expired on December 31, 2011. If he is <br /> confirmed, he will serve a new full term to expire on December 31, 2016. <br /> Executive Assistant to the Mayor Charmaine Shigemura informed the Members of the <br /> Committee that Mr. Nishimoto was not able to attend today's meeting, however, would be <br /> available for questions at the next full Council meeting. <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and <br /> intent of Communication No. 510, and recommends confirmation of Mr. Nishimoto to the <br /> Hawai`i Veterans Advisory Committee.
