COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 222 12 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY <br />DONATION OF $250 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br />RECREATION TO SUPPORT THE PARKS AND RECREATION <br />DEPARTMENT'S VULCAN BASEBALL CLINIC <br />WHEREAS, W. H. Shipman is donating $250 to the Department of Parks and <br />Recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, these funds will be used to support the Department of Parks and <br />Recreation Vulcan Baseball Clinic; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that <br />the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or <br />other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article <br />30, Section 2 -162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, <br />securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the <br />Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that cash <br />donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal Resolution process; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of <br />this donation; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, <br />Article 30, Section 2- 162(a) of the Hawai'i County Code, the Council of the County of Hawai'i <br />accepts this donation. <br />
