The 6th WHEREAS clause is amended to read: <br />"WHEREAS, the Research Corporation of the University of Hawai`i (hereinafter referred to <br />as "RCUH "), through Dr. Alton M. Okinaka, PhD, Director of the Social Sciences Training and <br />Research Laboratory, is familiar with these types of reports and will conduct a study of the DAT <br />program to measure its effectiveness; and" <br />2. The 7th WHEREAS clause is amended to read: <br />"WHEREAS, a Memorandum of Understanding (see attached) is needed between RCUH and <br />the County of Hawai`i to accomplish and fund this study which would evaluate the effectiveness of <br />the DAT Program through interviews, surveys of coaches, athletic directors, teachers, students and <br />parents of schools with DAT programs, the analysis of the results and a written report on the <br />effectiveness of DAT as a reduction tool; and" <br />Serving the Interests of the People of Our Island <br />Hawai`i County Is An Equal Opportunity Provider And Employer <br />Comm No. / 9' ` <br />Ref.
