REQUEST: <br /> Approval to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement for one (1) desktop black &white copy machine with <br /> copier stand for the Department of Finance, Vehicle Registration & Licensing Division, Hilo Driver Licensing <br /> and Commercial Driver Licensing Sections. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The section's black and white copy machine was originally leased in 2005. The copier is quickly becoming <br /> obsolete and parts for repair are becoming more difficult to obtain. Upgrading to a newer model will allow <br /> staff to increase their productivity with less interruption. The copier will be shared by Hilo Driver Licensing <br /> and Hilo Commercial Driver Licensing. The Commercial Driver License Program is State funded and will be <br /> covering 25% of the lease & maintenance costs. <br /> A new lease for a multi-function copy machine equipped with fax capabilities, automatic two-sided copying, <br /> sorting capabilities, 25 page minimum automatic document feeder and minimum print speed of 30 copies per <br /> minute will cost approximately $195.00 per month plus $.02112 for each black and white copy in excess of <br /> the monthly print allowance. <br /> SIGNED: li ` ‘:41101 DATE: <br /> Departmen ead <br />
