COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 142 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 12 21 (DRAFT 2) <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ARTICLE X, FINANCIAL PROCEDURES, SECTION <br />10 -12, SPECIAL FUNDS, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CHARTER (2010 EDITION), <br />RELATING TO ESTABLISHING OR ABOLISHING SPECIAL FUNDS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. Article X, Financial Procedures, Section 10 -12 of the Hawai`i County <br />Charter (2010 Edition), is amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 10 -12. Special Funds. <br />of fiscal operations of the county. ] <br />Special funds may be created or abolished by ordinance as may be necessary for <br />the proper and efficient segregation of fiscal operations of the county." <br />SECTION 2. New charter material is underscored. Material to be repealed is bracketed <br />and stricken. When revising, compiling, or printing these charter provisions for inclusion in the <br />Charter of the County of Hawai`i, the reviser need not include the underscoring. <br />SECTION 3. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person <br />or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of <br />the ordinance, which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this <br />end, the provisions of this ordinance are severable. <br />
