COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />,Tf Of MrJ <br />BILL NO. 169 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 12 34 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 4 OF THE HAWAII <br />COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO PEDESTRIANS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. The measure was generated by a request to provide an additional <br />crosswalk to address the pedestrian traffic generated by the Waikoloa Elementary School. <br />SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 4, Section 24- 276(e), Hawai'i <br />County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as amended), is amended by adding the following to be <br />appropriately numbered and to read as follows: <br />(e) Kohala <br />(1) Honomaka`u Road, three hundred thirty -five feet north of Akoni Pule Highway. <br />(2) Honomaka`u Road at Kohala High and Elementary School, in the vicinity of the <br />Agriculture Building. <br />(3) Lindsey Road in front of the Parker School. <br />(4) Mamalahoa Highway, two hundred twenty -five feet Honoka`a of the Kamuela to <br />HawT Road intersection. <br />(5) Mamalahoa Highway, at the intersection of Kamuela to HawT Road from the <br />restaurant corner to the Kamuela Police Station corner. <br />(6) Mamalahoa Highway, in front of the entrance to the Waimea School. <br />( ) Paniolo Avenue, three hundred forty feet southwest of Hooko Street. <br />SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is <br />underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and <br />underscoring need not be included. <br />SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application <br />thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other <br />provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid <br />
