No. 598/Bill 194 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> TIME: 10:07 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 194, reports as follows: <br /> Bill 194, transmitted by Director of Finance Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 598 dated <br /> February 17, 2012, is a bill for an ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 11-59, as amended, the <br /> Operating Budget for the County of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2012. The <br /> amendment is as follows: <br /> From: <br /> 3304.06 State Grants —Area Plan on Aging General $ 10,550 <br /> To: <br /> 010.411.5411.10 Area Plan on Aging General $ 10,550 <br /> The bill amends the Operating Budget by increasing the total appropriation of the Area Plan on <br /> Aging Account by $10,550. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, County departments must obtain the consent <br /> of the Council to enter into agreements with the Federal or State governments respecting action <br /> to be taken pursuant to any powers granted by law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds or <br /> other assistance connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers. <br /> The State of Hawai`i Department of Health, Executive Office on Aging has awarded the Hawai`i <br /> County Office of Aging a grant in the amount of$10,550 to be used to continue implementation <br /> of the Chronic Disease Self Management Program (CDSMP). <br /> Chair Brenda Ford relinquished the chairmanship to Vice Chair Dominic Yagong, and he <br /> assumed chairmanship of the Finance Committee. <br /> There was no discussion on this measure. <br /> FC Report No. 204 <br />
