No. 578/Bill No. 185 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hawai`i County Building <br /> 25 Aupuni Street <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:40 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill 185, <br /> reports as follows: <br /> Bill 185, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-280, Schedule 28 (No <br /> parking at anytime), subsection(f), Kona, by deleting paragraph 25 and renumbered as <br /> required: "[(25) Access road to the Kailua Bay Wharf at the northern terminus of Ali`i <br /> Drive, also known as Ka`ahumanu Place.]". This amendment is necessary to convert this <br /> part of Ka`ahumanu Place to a non stopping, standing, or parking zone. <br /> Mr. Aaron Takaba, Civil Engineer IV, Public Works—Traffic Division, explained that <br /> the area is currently a"No Parking" zone and that this amendment will also prohibit <br /> "Stopping and Standing" as well.
