Kawauchi 31;14. <br /> County Clerk <br /> RE: A Resolution Directing the Clerk of the County of Hawai`i to Take <br /> Necessary Action to Place the Charter Amendment Proposed By <br /> Ordinance No. 12-21 on the 2012 General Election Ballot <br /> Please find attached for the Council's consideration a resolution submitted pursuant to <br /> Section 15-2 of the Hawai`i County Charter. <br /> Section 15-2, Hawai`i County Charter, provides in part: "Upon adoption of an ordinance <br /> proposing amendments or revisions of this charter, or upon determination that a petition <br /> for proposed amendments or revisions of this charter contains the required number of <br /> signatures, the council shall by resolution provide that the proposed amendments or <br /> revisions be submitted to the electors of the county for approval at the next general <br /> election." <br /> Please place this resolution on the appropriate Committee agenda for those meetings <br /> scheduled for April 3, 2012. <br /> Thank you. <br /> JKK/j dh <br /> att. <br /> Comm.
