No. 642/Res. 234-12 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 4:10 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution 234-12, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution 234-12, transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi via Communication No. 642, dated <br /> March 7, 2012, accepting the Grant of Easement from Kaupakuea Farms, LLC for Public Access <br /> Purposes. This easement will provide pedestrian and vehicular public access to the Hilo Forest <br /> Reserve from Kaupakuea Homestead Road, a County of Hawaii road. <br /> Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the <br /> County, may accept gifts or donations of money, securities or other personal property or of real <br /> estate or any interest in real estate. <br /> Some of Your Committee members commented on their support for this resolution providing <br /> pedestrian and vehicular public access that connects to the Hilo Forest Reserve.
