These funds are for the purpose of <br /> improving Hawaii County's ability to respond to violent crimes against women through <br /> ongoing specialized training for the Juvenile Aid Section (JAS) detectives focused on <br /> the most current methods in investigating violence against women cases. <br /> A Special Investigative Training account was appropriated for $55,000 in anticipation of <br /> grant funding for FY2011-12.
