�JM<Y OF y,L <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII ;•: ?"'=.'/:• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ...................... . <br /> BILL NO. 230 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I GENERAL PLAN AS <br /> ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 05 25 AND AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 06 153 BY <br /> AMENDING MAP 15 OF THE LAND USE PATTERN ALLOCATION GUIDE MAP BY <br /> CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM URBAN EXPANSION TO <br /> EXTENSIVE AGRICULTURE, LOW DENSITY URBAN, MEDIUM DENSITY URBAN <br /> AND FROM LOW DENSITY URBAN TO MEDIUM DENSITY URBAN AND URBAN <br /> EXPANSION FOR PAHOA VILLAGE AND THE IMMEDIATELY SURROUNDING <br /> AREAS, PAHOA, PUNA, ISLAND OF HAWAII. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION I. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Map 15 of the County <br /> of Hawai`i General Plan Land Use Pattern Allocation Guide(LUPAG) Map in accordance with <br /> Section 3-15, Hawai`i County Charter, and Section 16.2 Interim Amendments, Hawaii County <br /> General Plan adopted by Ordinance No. 05 25 and amended by Ordinance No. 06 153. <br /> SECTION 2. The County of Hawai`i General Plan Land Use Pattern Allocation Guide <br /> (LUPAG)Map is hereby amended to designate the area in the vicinity of Pahoa Village and <br /> immediately surrounding areas, Pahoa, Puna, Island of Hawai`i, from"Urban Expansion"to <br /> "Extensive Agriculture", "Low Density Urban", "Medium Density Urban" and from"Low <br /> Density Urban"to "Medium Density Urban" and "Urban Expansion" all as shown on the map <br /> attached hereto,marked Exhibit"A" and by reference made a part hereof. <br /> SECTION 3. In the event that any portion of this ordinance is declared invalid, such <br /> invalidity shall not affect other provisions of this ordinance. <br /> SECTION 4.
