The Charter of the County of Hawai`i (2010) is amended by adding a new <br /> article to be appropriately designated and to read as follows: <br /> "ARTICLE_ <br /> CORPORATION COUNSEL. <br /> Section -1. Election and Term of Office. <br /> The corporation counsel shall be elected for a term of four years, which term shall <br /> commence at twelve o'clock meridian on the first Monday of December following the election. <br /> Section -2. Qualifications. <br /> The corporation counsel shall be an attorney licensed to practice and in good standing <br /> before the Supreme Court of the State of Hawai`i and who shall have engaged in the practice of <br /> law for at least six years. The corporation counsel shall be a citizen of the United States of <br /> America and shall have been a duly qualified elector of the county for at least one year <br /> immediately preceding the election. <br /> 2 <br />
