The property is located along the west side of Laula Road, approximately 2,260 feet <br /> south of the Haihai Street—Laula Road intersection, Waiakea, South Hilo, Hawai`i. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the request: <br /> The applicant is requesting the change of zone in order to subdivide the 2.96-acre <br /> property into 2 lots and distribute one lot to the applicant and one lot to the applicant's <br /> sister for estate planning purposes. There are two existing single-family dwellings and <br /> accessory buildings on the property.
