COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 213 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 12 S3 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 1, SECTION 24 -256 <br />OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED).. RELATING TO 30 <br />MILE. PER HOUR LIMIT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I: <br />SECTION 1. The purpose of this measure is to update the Hawai`i County Code to <br />match existing conditions to allow designation of a 20 mph speed limit for a portion of Government <br />Beach Road. <br />SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24 -256, Schedule 4. 30 mile per hour <br />limit, subsections (g)(2) and (g)(3) of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), is <br />amended to read as follows: <br />(2) Kalapana Government Beach Road, from a point 2.35 miles north of the Kapoho <br />• : - Pahoa- Kapoho Road to the Kaimu Pahoa Kapoho intersection <br />(3) <br />Papaya Farms Road. <br />Kalapana - Kapoho Beach Road, <br />riles sou h- ofThe -Kapoho Kumukahti <br />intersection to the National Park boundary. <br />SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. In <br />printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be <br />included. <br />SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof <br />to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br />
