COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2 '2 12 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY <br /> DONATION OF $75 TO THE OFFICE OF AGING TO HELP SUBSIDIZE <br /> THE COST OF GENERAL OFFICE OPERATIONS <br /> WHEREAS, Puna Hongwanji, Buddhist Women's Association is donating $75 to the <br /> Office of Aging; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used to subsidize the cost of general office <br /> operations; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter provides that <br /> the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or <br /> other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article <br /> 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawai'i County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, <br /> securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the <br /> Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that cash <br /> donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal Resolution process; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of Aging recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, <br /> Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawai'i County Code, the Council of the County of Hawai'i <br /> accepts this donation. <br />
