�4� • COUNTY OF HAWAII -� �"; '� • STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 273 12 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR THE HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT'S SPINE BOARD EQUIPMENT PURCHASE PROJECT TITLED "HAWAI'l FIRE DEPARTMENT PEDIATRIC SPINAL BOARDS" WHEREAS, the U. S. Department of Transportation has authorized federal funding towards the Hawaii Fire Department's reimbursement project titled "Hawai'i Fire Department Pediatric Spinal Boards"; and WHEREAS, the funds from this grant will be used to purchase specialized pediatric spinal immobilization equipment for the department's fifteen (15) Advanced Life Support ground ambulances, island-wide; and WHEREAS, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, requires that county departments obtain the consent of the council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, in accordance with section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, that the Mayor of the County of Hawaii is authorized to execute, on behalf of the County, an agreement, of which a copy is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit "A", and related documents with the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation, to enable the County to purchase pediatric spinal immobilization equipment through it's Hawai'i Fire Department Pediatric Spinal Boards project.
