(--- ,.)tV OS:81'\,10-4: <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII •. 7,..y� STATE OF HAWAII <br /> BILL NO. 270 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 1, SECTION 24-257 <br /> OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO <br /> SPEED LIMITS. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. The purpose of this measure is to revise the speed limits along South Kulani Road. <br /> The Traffic Division's proposal is to keep the existing 25 mph speed limit from Volcano Road up until <br /> parcel 1-8-036:026. A new 35 mph speed limit will be installed from parcel 1-8-086:026 to three hundred <br /> feet northwest of the bridge 18-1. The rest of South Milani Road will remain at 25 mph. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-257, Schedule 5. 35 mile per hour <br /> limit, subsection (g), Puna, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), is amended by <br /> adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: <br /> ( ) South Kulani Road, from the property line between parcels 1-8-086:026 and 1-8-086:027 <br /> and extending three hundred feet northwest of bridge 18-1. <br /> SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. In <br /> printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be <br /> included. <br /> SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof <br /> to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br /> applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, <br /> and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br /> SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval. <br />
