Ford, Council Member <br /> SUBJECT: Outdoor Warning Siren System Prioritization <br /> In October 2010, the Council passed Resolution 403-10 authorizing the County of Hawai`i to <br /> enter into an agreement with the State of Hawai`i for access, installation, and maintenance of the <br /> Outdoor Warning Siren System. There are 36 sirens currently impacted: approximately 30 that <br /> will be added and approximately 5 upgraded. <br /> This discussion is in regard to prioritizing the installation or maintenance of these sirens by each <br /> Council Member for their respective district and providing their list to the Civil Defense <br /> Administrator who will be leading the project. <br /> More information will be provided at the discussion. <br /> Attached with this transmittal is Resolution 403-10, Exhibit A—List of sirens and Exhibit B— <br /> Copy of the Unsigned MOU. <br /> Please refer this to the appropriate committee for August 14, 2012, and request thirty (30) <br /> minutes for discussion. <br /> BJF/dkr <br /> att. <br /> Comm.
