Rebuttal to letter dated January 31, 2012 by
Car!smith Ball LLP, Kenneth G. Goodenow:
1. Xtreme Auto Works is Registered as an Auto Body
and Paint Business: Trade name was established
06/04/2007 and nature of business 5 years ago was
a mix of automotive paint and mechanical repair.
Nature of business has progressed to mechanical
repairs. A more in depth research by Goodenow
would have shown that all ASE certifications for
automotive repair was acquired over the past 2
years establishing the focus of Mr. Souza's business
as automotive mechanical repair. No new
certifications in Auto Body were acquired over the
past 3 years. Nature of business has already been
changed with DCCA.
2. According to DCCA Records, Mr. Souza does not
have a Mechanic's License: Per Christine
Rutowski, head of PVL for HRS 437B — the majority
of the individuals believe the ASE certification is all
they need. The State registration is flawed in that
people are not aware of the licensing requirements.
Attached graphs will show only 39% of all ASE
Certified Technicians are registered with the State.
