STATE OF HAWAII <br /> 4TH a;'oks <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 290 12 <br /> A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT A NEW HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL ALTERNATE <br /> REPRESENTATIVE TO SERVE ON THE HAWAII STATE ASSOCIATION OF <br /> COUNTIES (HSAC) EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE. <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution No. 231-12 adopted on March 21, 2012, appointed Council <br /> Member K. Angel Pilago as the representative to serve on the Executive Committee of the <br /> Hawai`i State Association of Counties (HSAC) and Council Member Brittany Smart as Hawai`i <br /> County HSAC alternate; and <br /> WHEREAS,both Council Member K. Angel Pilago, and Council Member Brittany <br /> Smart will not serve as HSAC Representative and Alternate after their terms expire on December <br /> 3, 2012; and <br /> WHEREAS,the HSAC Executive Committee recommends Council Member K. Angel <br /> Pilago fulfill his appointment as HSAC Representative from Hawai`i County for the remainder <br /> of his term; and <br /> WHEREAS, the HSAC Executive Committee recommends continuity after the new <br /> council term, December 3, 2012; and <br /> WHEREAS, Dennis "Fresh" Onishi will be a returning councilmember and has the <br /> experience, commitment and willingness to serve as Hawai`i County Council alternate <br /> representative to HSAC; now therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Council Member Dennis "Fresh" Onishi, be, and is hereby appointed to replace Council Member <br /> Brittany Smart as alternate representative to the Executive Committee of HSAC. <br />
